RIM has released their newest version of the Blackberry series. The Blackberry Torch. This new Smart Phone all in one has everything build in including the standard Social Media such as Facebook, LinkedIn & Buzzd. It also boast a 5MP camera and 8 GB memory card expandable to 32. And of course you standard web browsing tools. The Torch allows for 5.8 hours of talk time (yeah right) and 30 hours of music playback (believe it when I see it). I don’t know about the rest of you folks out there but all this seems like another way to get to the consumers pockets. This phone am sure will be targeted to late teens to 20 something users. As for myself, I have a 4 yr old BB Perl which is still going strong and does way more than I need it to do. Will I be upgrading anytime soon? No! But being a technology buff like I am, I can understand those who must have a new toy. But for what they are asking, is it really worth the price? Are any of these smart phones really worth the price? I say no.
